FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What is Lyrical?add

Lyrical is a real-time lyrics platform. It shows synced lyrics on phones at concerts, on car displays for passengers or while parked, on AI and XR glasses in your field of view, and through your phone camera with Binocular mode. Lyrics are officially licensed and time-synced, and song recognition is powered by ShazamKit.

How do I get Lyrical?add

Download it free from the App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android. No account is required to start. The app recognises what's playing and shows synced lyrics right away.

Which AI and XR glasses are supported?add

AI glasses: Even Realities G2 (often searched as EvenG2 or Even G2) works via Bluetooth, Meta Ray-Ban Display (Meta Display glasses) is supported on iOS via the Meta AI app, and Google AI Glasses are supported on Android. XR glasses: USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode devices including XREAL (Air, Air 2, Air 2 Pro, One, One Pro), Rokid (Max, Max 2), and TCL RayNeo (Air 3, Air 3s, Air 3s Pro, Air 4 Pro). Apple Vision Pro works natively. Android XR devices like Samsung Galaxy XR and XREAL Project Aura are supported via the Jetpack XR SDK. Note: Google AI Glasses and Android XR are distinct platforms, and Lyrical supports both. Works on iOS and Android.

How does Car Mode work?add

Phone-paired mode is available now: Lyrical on your iPhone recognises what's playing via ShazamKit and streams the current lyric to your car's browser. Phoneless car mode is coming later.

What is LiveSync / Concert Mode?add

LiveSync lets whoever is running the show control lyrics, timing, and visual effects from a single web dashboard. Every phone in the venue that opens the session link displays the same lyrics in real time. No app download required.

Is it free?add

Yes. The free tier includes Car Mode, at-concert mode, LiveSync audience, glasses projection, Concert Recap with a small lyrical.glass watermark, and all visual effects. Lyrical Pro ($4.99/month or $49.99/year) adds lyric translation in 10 languages, playlist exports to Apple Music and YouTube Music, watermark-free Concert Recap, and multi-glass profiles for Even Realities G2, XREAL and Apple Vision Pro.

What music services does it work with?add

Lyrics are licensed from a commercial lyrics provider rather than crowd-sourced, so the wording and timings are the ones the rights holders signed off. The active provider is named next to the lyrics in the app and on the FAQ page. Song recognition uses ShazamKit.

Do you support Android XR?add

Yes. Lyrical supports the Android XR format through the Jetpack XR SDK with ProjectedContext. Compatible devices include Samsung Galaxy XR and XREAL Project Aura.

What about privacy, does it record audio?add

No. Song recognition via ShazamKit works on-device. It matches audio fingerprints without recording or storing audio. Lyrical does not record, upload, or retain any audio from your microphone or environment.

Is Lyrical useful for deaf or hard-of-hearing users?add

Yes. Lyrical shows synced lyrics on phones and supported AI or XR glasses. At concerts with a LiveSync operator, the lyrics advance automatically. Even Realities G2 look like ordinary glasses, which can make assistive use less conspicuous.
